This Cookie Policy explains how Yipy ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our websites and web applications, including yipy.io and its subdomains (e.g. web.yipy.io, accounts.yipy.io, etc.) (collectively, the "Services").
This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data.
1. Scope of this policy
This Cookie Policy applies to all use of cookies and similar tracking technologies on:
- Our marketing website at https://yipy.io ("home page", "root site"); and
- Our product applications available on subdomains of yipy.io.
Where we refer to "cookies" in this policy, we also include similar technologies such as local storage, pixels, and SDKs, where applicable.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (such as your computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website or use a web application. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the site owners.
Some cookies are placed by us ("first-party cookies") and some are placed by third parties ("third-party cookies").
3. Types of cookies we use
We distinguish between cookies that are essential for the operation of our Services and cookies that are non-essential. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom (UK), and similar jurisdictions, we only place non-essential cookies on your device if you have given us your consent (for example, through our cookie banner’s "Accept All" / "Reject All" options).
3.1 Essential cookies
These cookies are necessary for the Services to function properly and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set only in response to actions made by you that amount to a request for services, such as logging in, filling out forms, or configuring your preferences.
Essential cookies may be used for:
- Authentication and maintaining your session (e.g., keeping you logged in as you navigate between pages);
- Security and integrity (e.g., preventing fraudulent logins, protecting user accounts, and mitigating abuse);
- Load balancing and infrastructure performance (e.g., distributing traffic across servers);
- Remembering technical settings needed to provide the Services (e.g., language preference, tenant or organization context);
- Feature flags that are strictly required to deliver core functionality (e.g., determining which version of a critical workflow page to show).
- Error monitoring and diagnostics
Because these cookies are strictly necessary to provide the Services you have requested, we do not ask for your consent to use them. You can set your browser to block these cookies, but some parts of the Services may then not work properly.
3.1.1 Error monitoring and diagnostics
We may use error monitoring and diagnostics tools to help us identify and fix technical issues, improve reliability, and secure our Services.
Some monitoring and diagnostics tools are necessary to operate and secure the Services and to ensure that core functionality works as expected. We treat these technical diagnostics as essential where they are limited to what is needed to reliably, safely, and securely provide the Services you request.
Where monitoring tools rely on cookies or similar identifiers to track behavior over time and aren't directly tied to ensuring core systems are operational, we treat them as non-essential and will only use them with your consent where required by law. Such tools and diagnostics are categorized and treated as analytics and performance cookies.
3.2 Functional cookies
Functional cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your preferences beyond what is strictly necessary. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages.
Where functional cookies are not strictly necessary for the Services, we will treat them as non-essential and rely on your consent before using them in certain jurisdictions.
3.3 Analytics and performance cookies (non-essential)
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Services by collecting and reporting information anonymously or pseudonymously. For example, they may help us:
- Measure and improve the performance of our marketing site and product features;
- Understand which pages are most and least popular;
- See how users navigate through the product to help us improve usability.
We will not use analytics cookies in the EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions unless you select "Accept All" or otherwise give your consent. If you select "Reject All", these analytics cookies will not be used.
3.4 Marketing and advertising cookies (non-essential)
Marketing cookies are commonly used by a service's marketing partners to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertisements on other sites. They work by uniquely identifying your browser and internet device.
We do not use advertising cookies or grant your data to advertising partners.

5. Legal basis and consent
In jurisdictions where consent is required (for example, the EEA and UK), our use of non-essential cookies (such as analytics and marketing cookies) is based on your consent. When you first visit our home page from these regions, you will see a cookie banner that provides options such as "Accept All" and "Reject All".
- Accept All: We will enable non-essential cookies (for example, analytics and, where applicable, marketing cookies) in addition to essential cookies.
- Reject All: We will not enable non-essential cookies. Only essential cookies required to provide the Services will be used.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing cookies in your browser. After doing so, return to our marketing site at https://yipy.io and the cookie banner will appear again, allowing you to select “Accept All” or “Reject All”.
6. Managing cookies and your choices
You have several options to control or limit how cookies are used:
- Cookie banner and in-product settings. Where provided, you can use the cookie banner and/or in-product settings to accept or reject non-essential cookies at any time.
- Browser settings. Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. For example, you may be able to block all cookies, block only certain types of cookies, or delete cookies when you close your browser. Please consult your browser’s help pages for more information.
- Opt-outs provided by third parties. Some third-party providers offer their own opt-out mechanisms. For example, analytics providers may allow you to opt out of measurement on certain sites or globally. Please refer to the privacy or cookie policies of the relevant providers for details.
Please note that if you choose to block or delete cookies, some features of the Services may not function correctly.
7. Third-party cookies
Some cookies used on our Services are placed by third parties, such as analytics, advertising, and error monitoring providers. These third parties may use cookies and similar technologies in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies.
We encourage you to review the privacy and cookie policies of these third parties, which are referenced in the tables above where applicable.
8. Retention
The length of time that a cookie remains on your device varies. Some cookies are "session cookies" that are only stored for the duration of your browser session and are deleted when you close your browser. Other cookies are "persistent cookies" that remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
The tables above include indicative retention periods for different cookies. We may adjust these periods from time to time to reflect our operational needs and legal obligations.
9. Updates to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the cookies we use, changes in our Services, or changes in applicable laws and regulations. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. In some cases, we may provide additional notice (such as via a banner or in-app notification).
